Bye Bye Bosh
If there was ever any doubt about the long term future of Chris Bosh as a Toronto Raptor, tonight’s display against the Atlanta Hawks did the trick. Although Mr. Bosh is having a career year, the team he “leads” is 7-13. With a quarter of the season behind us, allowing a team to score 145 points comes as a crowning blow. Toronto’s Star player is gone in 2010. His AP quote gives no sign of his future intentions:
“We’ve got to care about it,” Bosh said. “That’s what it comes down to. Have some pride. Without that pride teams just score at will, like they did tonight.
It is time for fans to admit that CB4 will be moving on. Had the off-season player moves turned out differently, perhaps, just perhaps, Mr. Bosh’s prediliction to re-sign with the Raptors would have been higher.
The Raps need to go 40 and 20 over the next 60 games to get to the 47 win mark, our prior “best”. What did fans see against Indiana, Charlotte or Memphis that suggests this is possible? Our target of winning 50 seems near impossible, and its only December 2nd. Whether or not the world would be different if Reggie Evans was healthy isn’t the point; we’ve lost to many teams this year who were missing one or two of their top stars due to injuries. Even when we catch a break there’s no conversion to the “W”.
There’s no choice but to trade our allstar, despite the fact that he’s a crowd draw and every 5-year old Toronto girl’s favourite player. We get zippo for him in April. Now, and least we can begin to craft a longer term strategy.
The short term one appears to have failed.

I disagree with CB4 needing to go. Although he would flourish elsewhere with some support why would the Raps want to let such a draw and fan favorite go? Quality players with no off court histories are worth thier weight in $1200 per ounce gold!
I guess Jack by tying his shoes and not being contested by the Bulls was finally a flavourable instance for the Raps but man someone should have given him an elbow for show boatin’. I enjoyed it as a Raps fan but if it was the other way around I would have been fuming.
