Each day we come across some of Canada’s most interesting technology ideas, companies and personalities. Our website gets thousands of unique hits a year. This comes as a constant surprise to us; thus the not so novel idea: why not match what we are up to each day/week/month with whatever it is that brought you to our WWW doorstep.

While much of what we see and do is confidential, we are going to try something a bit different. Well, with 50 million blogs out there (according to Technorati) its a bit presumtuous to assume anything can be truly different; but it won’t be for lack of trying. We’ll pass along some interesting trends (if we see any); we’ll provide hints and ideas about how to position yourself for the next venture capital round; and we’ll undoubtedly put a “stick in the spokes” from time to time.

Our team is an eclectic one, as you’ll soon see. Our backgrounds include software engineering, photography, programming, public administration (academic and the other kind), math, business, corporate finance / investment banking, sales & marketing, M&A, commercial banking and political science.

Most days we’ll talk about what we are seeing and hearing in the universe of technology, venture capital, corporate governance, the economy and the public markets. And there will be the temptation to discuss politics more frequently than some on our team might like.
