PWC Trendsetter Barometer
Our friend Ben Kaak at PWC was kind enough to send over their Trendsetter Barometer survey. His summary is as follows:
“In a recent survey of CEOs of 312 privately-held product and service companies PwC identified three areas which will be the hottest growth area from a software development perspective for the next three years. They include security applications, wireless networks and faster data transactions – with Internet telephony and data convergence close behind.
What makes the survey interesting from a Canadian perspective is the fact that the surveyed companies (while US) range in size from approximately $5 million to $150 million in revenue/sales (i.e. it excludes the software giants and so is more comparable with the Canadian environment) and are identified as amongst the fastest growing in the US.”
It appears that capital equipment spending for the tech universe should remain bouyant next year. Have a quick look at what product and service CEOs are expecting to spend $ on: am I the only one surprised to see RFID and Nanotechnology rank so well on the list?
