Angus Reid nails it again
Here’s a bit of great news from the sister company to Wellington Financial Fund III portfolio co. Vision Critical:
“After the Manitoba elections, Angus Reid Strategies once again comes closest to the actual vote results than any other published poll. Angus Reid’s online survey of a representative national sample was published in the article “Poll gives NDP edge” in Monday’s Winnipeg Sun. The poll predicted 49% of Manitobans would vote NDP, and the New Democratic Party took 48% of the popular vote to win its third straight majority.
The poll also predicted 37% would vote Progressive Conservative, when the actual PC result was 38%. “I am delighted to see that the advanced online polling techniques developed at Angus Reid Strategies are proving their accuracy yet again, as was the case in the Quebec election,” said Angus Reid, CEO of Angus Reid Strategies.
“Angus Reid Strategies is able to produce results that are not only accurate but closer to the final election tally than pollsters using traditional phone techniques.” The Angus Reid poll ran from May 17 to 18 and queried 616 adult Manitobans. In March, a similar Angus Reid poll of Quebec respondents came closest to the actual Quebec election results over every other polling firm.
The Angus Reid Forum, the online survey portal of Angus Reid Strategies used for the election polls, is a powerful research tool producing highly reliable results in other areas. The forum also powers the Angus Reid Daily, the first and only daily online omnibus poll in Canada. Questions submitted by noon will have complete results by 5pm the next day, answered by a nationally representative sample of 1,000 adults aged 18+ from all regions, English and French. The forum also allows the Daily to go beyond the capabilities of a traditional phone survey, letting clients show streaming video, play streaming audio or test images such as print ads and logos.
As well, the forum powers the Corporate Reputation and Sponsorship Index™ (CRSI™)—the first tool to monitor the impact of sponsorship awareness on corporate brand reputation every day. Each week, 1,400 Canadians respond with their perceptions on 200 of Canada’s leading brands and corporations. Subscribers have access to real-time insight on their brand and their competitors brands, helping optimize their sponsorship investments and make strategic business decisions.”
