“Mike Mackasey, left National Bank Financial, not Desjardins as was written last week, to join Dundee Securities as vice-chair.
NBF also lost sales and trader, Jeff Clapp, to Wellington West Capital Markets.
And one more – NBF lost Calgary investment banking analyst, Chuck Chmura, who joined Matco Capital.
Gary Williamson, who left the role of Head of Sales at Northern Securities a few weeks back, joined Global Maxfin Investments Inc.
Investment banking associate, Khai Ha, has left Merrill Lynch to pursue an opportunity with Moore Capital.
Rahim Madhavji, M&A analyst at RBC Dominion Securities, left for an associate role at TorQuest Partners Inc.
And finally, if you see the name Turtle Creek Private Equity where Scotia Merchant Capital once was, it is not a new restaurant, recycling company or golf course but the new name for the private equity firm started by the former partners at Scotia Merchant Capital.
