Ottawa at its best

A few members of our team are in Ottawa for a couple of days for the annual Ottawa Venture and Technology Summit. About 260 are signed up. Looks to be quite Clean Tech heavy, and Rod Bryden is featured as a “keynote” guest speaker. Hmmm. As for Clean Tech, this is a buzz word (or is it a buzz phrase?) you’re going to hear much more over the months to come.

VCs are figuring out there’s money to raise from institutions if you “do clean tech”, and maybe places to invest profitably. A couple of years ago it was generically referred to as Alternative Energy, but this new description is here to stay.
