“Chris Lalor has joined GMP Securities’ Equity Research team as an Associate with Special Situations Analyst Greg McLeish. Chris is a recent undergraduate from Rotman who was working on contract at Wellington Financial.
Canaccord’s Junior Mining Research Analyst Graeme Curry has flipped to the dark side covering the sector for the Investment Banking Group.
Desjardins Securities added Craig Stanley to their research team to cover Gold stocks. Craig was most recently a Research Analyst with the Natural Resources team at buy-side firm Sentry Select Capital.
Mutual Fund company AIC Ltd, has brought aboard Steve Clarke as Head of Trading. Clarke was previously a Trader at MGI Securities.
BMO Capital Markets has expanded its research coverage of Global Metals and Mining companies with the hiring of four equity analysts to be based in Toronto and London. Senior Analysts, Tony Robson (global senior metals stocks) and David Haughton (global gold sector), formerly of Global Mining Research in Australia, have moved to Toronto. In addition, James Picton and Christopher Rollanson in London joined the firm in September to cover diamonds and mining exploration companies respectively.
And Darin Smith has rejoined the BMO Capital Markets global metals and mining Investment Banking team in Toronto as an Associate after trying to find himself as he travelled the world for a few years.
David Dixon, formerly a Telecom Analyst at RBC Capital Markets has landed at Friedman Billings Ramsey, a US based Middle Markets Investment Bank.
