Safety recalls becoming rampant part 2
Two months have passed since the original news (“Safety recalls becoming rampant“, August 16-07), and tens of thousands of North American families will have administered cold and allergy medicine to their infants in the interim, but a Federal Drug Administration panel has finally spoken: no cold medicines for childred under the age of 6.
After 30 years of use and more than 120 related child deaths, it turns out that hundreds of drugs that make up the core components of most child cold and allergy medications were never reviewed by a government agency and should no longer be taken.
Thanks for letting us know. Why the additional two month wait?
Speaking of getting ahead of the curve, has anyone in a position of authority tested what happens when a rear seat door-mounted side air bag is deployed adjacent to a baby car seat??
