“Michael McGuin has joined the Institutional Equities desk at Blackmont Capital. McGuin was previously on the sales desk at Northern Securities and before that in research at LOM.

RBC Capital Markets hires a pair for the London office. Jay Ashfield has joined the Institutional Equity Sales desk as an Associate primarily involved with the Global Equities Hedge Fund Group. Secondly, Nigel Rendell is joining the Emerging Markets Research team as a Senior Strategist. Ashfield came from RBC’s Capital Markets Generalist Program while Rendell was previously at Calyon and HSBC.

Westwind Partners has hired Mike Scialla as a U.S. energy analyst focused on North American energy plays for their new Denver office. Scialla, was at A.G. Edwards.
