Paradigm loves the new Javelin

“Javelin Shines for Rogers
Yesterday, Rogers began selling the new Blackberry Javelin, an upgraded version of the Curve form factor introduced last year. Styled in the spirit of the Bold and with the new and improved operating system (also found in the Bold) this may be the best looking Blackberry ever. This is the fourth major new product of the year. This device is designed to be the basic replacement for many enterprise users still using the 8700 from 2005 and the Curve from 2007. Rogers is selling the device for $179, an aggressive price point for a new device and we would expect excellent sell through. Technologically the product has more memory and a faster processor than the Curve and relative to the Bold is slightly smaller and lighter. This device does not carry a 3G radio, but does include WiFi and GPS. We are still waiting for confirmation of a US carrier deal and an official launch date in the US. Overall, the Javelin is a beautiful device and many will prefer it to the Bold, the Storm and/or the Flip, so we look for strong shipments of this device in the coming quarters. We continue to encourage investors to buy shares of Research in Motion at the currently depressed levels.
12 month target: $190.00″

(disclosure – I own RIM)
“12 month target: $190.00” 400% return seems quite reasonable in this market. Hard to read the analysis through the tears from laughing so hard. “Go sell crazy somewhere else, we’re all stocked up here.” – Jack N
Should we be talking about how it’s the “best looking device ever”? Perhaps maybe something along the lines how many of these babies can be sold given the U.S. consumer is dead and Wall Streeters will NOT be upgrading their BB when out of work. Hmm.
