“Cormark Securities is adding veteran banker John Budreski. John has been working his own deals recently but was the CEO of Orion Securities before it was sold to Macquarie Group.

BMO Capital Markets hired Christopher Donohoe as a Managing Director in its Financial Institutions Group in New York. Chris was previously with Banc of America.

Steve Theriault joined Banc of America Securities/Merrill Lynch as Senior Canadian Financial Institutions Equity Research Analyst. Steve joins from BMO Capital Markets.

Martin Tunney has traded in the suit and tie for a pair of steel toes and a hard hat, with a move from Investment Banking at Raymond James in Toronto to Mine Engineering with Newmont Mining Corporation in Nevada.

Philippe Martin has joined the Corporate Finance Team at Power Corporation of Canada as an Associate. Previously, Philippe was an Associate at Edgestone Capital Partners in Montreal.

Also joining the Corporate Finance Team at Power Corporation of Canada is Veronique Talbot. Veronique is joining as an Analyst; she previously was an Investment Banking Analyst for Goldman, Sachs & Co. in New York.

Union Securities has hired Jason Bedasee in the Toronto office in Institutional Sales. Jason was most recently employed at Evergreen and MGI Securities.

Christian Porrachio, Trader at ING Canada in Montreal is leaving the buy-side to join the UBS Equity Trading Program team in Toronto.

Geoff Mott, a Managing Director with VantagePoint Venture Partners in Montreal left to join TouchTunes, a digital out-of-home media company, as Senior Vice President, Strategy & Business Development.

Brent Barrie was appointed CEO at SEAMARK Asset Management from his role as COO following the resignation of Stuart Raftus.

Trader, Amanda Karahanas has left Alpha Trading Systems to join RBC Dexia.

Soami Kohly, Vice-President Structured Products group, RBC Capital Markets left to join McLean Budden as Vice-President, Liability Driven Investment (LDI) Solutions.
