TD Securities tries equity research delivery via MP4

Proving that even stodgy banks are open to new thinking and the fine hand of technology, Chris Umiastowski, the talented Technology Analyst at TD Newcrest, has launched an “MP4” of his most recent research note on Research in Motion (RIM:TSX, RIMM:Q).

Great idea, and it will work for anyone at their desktop. 7 minutes is not short, but given the weighting that RIM represents on the TSX, the time was well spent.

Here is the link to hear it for yourself. I believe that most analysts don’t get anywhere near the traction that their work deserves. This tactic is one distribution strategy that might help spread the word.
