“National Bank Financial hired Sandy Edmonstone as Co-Head of their Global Energy Investment Banking team in Calgary. Sandy was previously with GMP Securities.

Scotia Capital has set up a Global Infrastructure Finance team in London with members joining from Toronto and New York. Leading the team is Head of Europe, Middle East and Africa, Managing Director Ruth McMorrow. Also on the team are Managing director Louis Vainai-Husar, Director Jonathan Stone and Associate Director Kevin Healy.

Also appointed to a new role at Scotia Capital is John Henderson, Managing Director & Head, Equity Research.

Geoff Keith has been hired as an Executive Director, Cash Equities for CIBC. Most recently, he was Head Trader at Barclays Global Investors.

Richard Eakins will be joining Raymond James in his new role, Institutional Sales and Trading, Product Development and Strategy. Previously Richard was Portfolio Manager/Trader with GMP Investment Management.

Judy Goldring has become the Chief Operating Officer for AGF Investments as they align their retail and institutional business under one umbrella. Alongside CEO Blake Goldring, Judy is joined by AGF Trust CEO Mario Causarano. In addition, National Head of Sales Rose Cammareri, Executive Vice President Rob Badun, Chief Investment Officer Martin Hubbes and Chief Financial Officer Greg Henderson are also on the team.

– Bernard Morency has been appointed Executive Vice-President, Depositors’ Accounts Management and Strategic Initiatives
– Jean-Luc Gravel has been named Executive Vice-President, Equity Markets. Previously he was Senior Vice-President, Canadian Securities
– Formerly, Executive Vice-President, Finance and Operations, Ghislain Parent has been named Chief Financial Officer
– Adding to his responsibilities, Normand Provost, Executive Vice-President, Private Equity now holds the title of Chief Operating Officer
– Jacques Lavallée has been appointed Senior Vice-President, Operations and Technologies.
– Fernand Perreault is staying on as Strategic Adviser to the President

Sheryl King has been named Head of Canada Economics and Investment Strategy at Banc of America Securities-Merrill Lynch Research. Most Recently, King was Senior U.S. Economist at Merrill Lynch.

BMO Capital Markets in New York has hired Consumer Equity Research Analyst, John Morris from Wachovia Securities.”
