UBS has appointed Paul Knight as the new Chairman and CEO of UBS Canada. Knight will move from London to Toronto maintaining his current role as joint Global Head of the UBS Mining team.

Greg Gutmanis has joined Maxam Capital Corp as Vice President. He was previously with Capital West Partners.

Peter Lizon will be joining Genuity Capital Markets as Equity Research Associate in mining from Edenbrook Hill Capital.

TD Securities has promoted Michael Faralla to Head of Mining Investment Banking. He moves over from the Equity Capital Markets desk. Geoff Bertram will be taking over Faralla’s role on the ECM desk.

Previously Hedge Fund Manager at Barclays Global Investors, Phillip Lawson joins CIBC on its Foreign Exchange and Fixed Income Team.
