Blackmont Capital has made some leadership changes as well as new hires:

Bruce Kagan is taking on the responsibilities of Interim Head of Capital Markets

André Brosseau will now be assuming the role of Chairman of Quebec Capital Markets

Jeff White has assumed the responsibility of Interim Head Trader in addition to his current Head of Sales role

Tom Stan will be joining as an executive on the Investment Banking Team. Previously Tom was President and CEO of Canadian Phoenix Resources Corp as well as Sound Energy Trust

Gord Currie joins as Research Analyst, Oil & Gas. Previously Gord was at Wolverton Securities

Rob Clark and Rahim Kassim-Lakha have joined the Institutional Sales Team. Most recently Rob was at MPartners and Rahim was at National Bank Financial

Peter Gibson, Managing Director and Head of Portfolio Strategy and Quantitative Research and Jeff Evans, Executive Director of Portfolio Strategy and Quantitative Research. Both Peter and Jeff were previously at Desjardins Securities

Alexander Shirokov joined the CIBC FX Statistical Arbitrage Group as Director, High Frequency Trading. Most recently Alexander was at Oanda

Takis Spiropoulos as Managing Director and Head of Electronic Solutions Group (ESG) within Fixed Income, Currencies and Distribution. Previously Takis was at Banc of America Merrill Lynch
Brian Huen, Executive Director, Institutional Equity Sales, Cash Equities and Shoghig (Sho) Kulidjian, Executive Director, Institutional Equity Sales, Alternative Execution Services. Brian was previously at UBS Securities and Shoghig was at RBC Capital Markets.

Keith Mulcahey will join the Institutional Equity Sales desk at Thomas Weisel Partners. Previously Keith was at CIBC.

Also from CIBC, Oil & Gas Analyst Mark Bridges has moved to Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group.

BMO Capital Markets has hired Tim Long as Senior Equity Analyst, Wireless Equipment and Data Networking Industries. Most recently Tim was at Banc of America as Senior Research Analyst.

Joining Wellington West Capital Markets is John MacDonald, Vice President, Electronic Trading. John was previously at Deutsche Bank as Head of Equity Finance.

Institutional Equity Trader, Kris Fisher has also joined Wellington West Capital Markets from D&D Securities.

Jason Cho will be joining UBS Securities as Director, Equity Sales. Previously Jason was at TD Newcrest in Prop Trading and Alternative Investment Strategies roles.

Ronald Alepian has recently joined the TMX Group as Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Communications. Previously Ronald was Vice President Global Communications and Corporate Marketing for Nortel.

Alistair Toward joined Hugessen Consulting as a Principle in their Calgary office, previously he was a Research Analyst, Oil & Gas at Thomas Weisel.
