CIBC has announced the following additions to the Global Derivatives and Strategic Risk Group:

Christopher Dunning has joined as Managing Director and Global Head of FX Options. Most recently Christopher was Managing Director and Global Head, Emerging Markets at Uni Credito

Eric Ohayon has been hired as Managing Director, FX and Commodity Structuring. Previously Eric was Head of FX Structuring and Co-Head of GRCC (Global Rates, Currencies & Commodities) Structuring at Bank of America’s London Office

UBS Securities has announced the following hires and appointments:
Executive Director, Jordan Johnson will be joining the Equity Desk. Previously Jordan was at Banc of America, Merrill Lynch

After a brief hiatus, Director, Rick Lavoie is returning to the Equity Sales Desk

Patrick Drouin will be moving from Toronto to lead the Canadian Sales Team in London

Paul Chutter will be joining the UK Sales Team from Canaccord Capital’s London office

National Bank Financial has hired Bob Bastianon as Director, Institutional Equity Trading Group. Previously Bob was on the Sales desk at Macquarie Capital Canada.

Eric Hargrave joined OTPP as a Senior Investment Associate in the Infrastructure group; Eric was formerly with RBC Capital Markets as a Senior Associate, Investment Banking, Utilities and Renewables in London.

Here are the new hires at Canaccord:

Giles Fitzpatrick has been hired as President of the British arm of CanaccordAdams. Most recently Giles was Chief Executive Officer of Fox-Pitt, Kelton

At Canaccord Capital, George Karkoulas has been hired as Senior Vice President and Head of its new “Principal-Agent Retail Distribution Initiative”. Previously, George ran this division at Raymond James
Also from Raymond James, Peter Bailey, former Chief Executive Officer, has signed on as a Consultant

David Ellen joins as Head of Canadian Bond Trading from HSBC Canada

Jim Cahil left Stonebridge Financial where he was Vice President Structured and Project Finance to join Infrastructure Ontario as Vice President Project Finance.

Joining BMO Capital Corporation’s Private Equity and Subordinated Debt Group is Associate, Ace Martin. Previously Ace was at CIBC on the Mid-Market Investment Banking team.

MPartners has hired Alan Breuer as a Research Associate. Previously Alan was a Consultant at Brendan Wood International.
