As Macquarie continues to grow its advisory business in Canada, Ron Rimer has been appointed Head of Equity Capital Markets at Macquarie Capital Canada. Formerly, Ron was Head of Diversified Industries and Real Estate Groups with Macquarie.

Scotiabank has announced the following changes to its Executive Management Team:

Wendy Hannam as Executive Vice President (EVP), Sales & Service, Products & Distribution, International Banking. She was EVP, Personal Banking & Distribution, Canada

Dieter Jentsch as EVP, Latin America from EVP, Commercial Banking, Canada

Anne Marie O’Donovan as EVP and Chief Administration Officer, Scotia Capital. Previously Anne Marie was Senior Vice President and Chief Auditor

Anatol von Hahn as EVP, Personal & Commercial Banking Canada from EVP, Latin America

Caisse de Dépôt has announced changes to the Real Estate Group structure with the following appointments:

Rene Tremblay to Executive Vice President, Real Estate and President of the Caisse’s Real Estate Group. Rene will also sit on the following Caisse Executive Committee and Chair the boards of directors of SITQ, Ivanhoe Cambridge and Otera Capital

Karen Laflamme as Senior Vice President, Real Estate

Andre Charest as Senior Vice President, Risk Management-Real Estate

Dundee Securities’ Investment Banking has made a few additions:
Harold Wolkin has joined as Executive Vice President, Head of Investment Banking. Most recently, Harold was Vice Chairman at Sandfire Securities

Michael Kraft, previously an Investment Banking Associate with Citi in New York has joined the Investment Banking team in Toronto

Melissa O’Connor has joined as an Investment Banking Analyst; previously she was an Analyst at Credit Suisse in Toronto

Russ Minor will also be joining Dundee on the Sales and Trading desk from Thomas Weisel Partners.

DundeeWealth has announced the appointment of Harold Gordon to the Board of Directors. Harold is also the Director of Dundee Corporation.

CIBC’s Wholesale Banking Arm is building its Asian Foreign Exchange Team running out of Hong Kong:

Joe Cortese as an Executive Director from RBC Dominion Securities where he was a currency trading veteran

Patrick Bei as an Executive Director to the Forex Sales Desk from Germany’s DZ Bank

RBC Capital Markets has promoted Frank Lambrinos to Associate, Corporate Banking and will be moving to New York.

Shad Ansari has joined Manulife as an Assistant Vice President, Investor Relations. Most recently, Shad was Director, Mergers & Acquisitions at CIBC.
