Scotia Capital has announced the expansion of its Global Equity Finance Group with the hiring of five former Banc of America Merrill Lynch executives. Gary Rupert as Managing Director will lead the team in the US. Daniel Murphy and Armeet Sandhu join as Managing Directors, while Keith Peckholdt and Eugene Picone join as Directors.

RBC Capital Markets has hired Wayne Saunders as Director, Institutional Bond Sales. He was most recently at TD Securities as Managing Director, Fixed Income Sales.

Menno Hulshof has returned to TD Securities as an Analyst, Oil & Gas. Previously, Menno was at Dundee Securities as a Research Analyst. Tashi Dorji, Menno’s Associate at Dundee is also making the move to TD Securities covering Senior Producers & Oil Sands.

Chris Syme has joined Jennings Capital as Vice President, Syndication. Previously Chris was at MGI Securities.

Two new hires to Jacob Securities are Brad Parkes as Head of Sales & Trading and Anne Brooks as a Trader. Previously Parkes was at CIBC where he was Head of Trading. Anne was most recently a Trader at Sandfire Securities.

Katie Tabesh has joined the Institutional Equity Sales Desk at Wellington West Capital Markets from CIBC.

Sales Associate Jean-Francois Boucher has been hired at Versant Partners to cover their Montreal accounts. Previously, Jean-Francois was at TD Securities in Montreal.

Marc Cohen is joining Dundee Securities as an Investment Banking Associate in Toronto. Previously, Marc was a Manager in the Corporate and Investment Banking Division at The Standard Bank of South Africa Limited in Johannesburg.

Rob Conci joined National Bank Financial’s Investment Banking Team in Calgary as an Associate. Previously, Rob was an Associate with GMP Securities.

G3 Capital has hired Vartan Pogharian as an Associate, he joins from HBK Capital Management in Dallas.

Clarus Securities has hired Cam Mitchell as a Research Associate, Oil & Gas. Cam was most recently working in Industry.

Invesco Trimark has announced the following changes to their Global Equities Team:

– Dana Love will continue his role as Lead Manager on the Trimark Fund, but has assumed Lead Portfolio Management for Trimark Select Growth Fund
– Darren McKiernan has re-joined as Vice President and Portfolio Manager. Previously, Darren was at Burgundy Asset Management as Vice President
– Jeff Hyrich and Erin Greenfield have assumed Portfolio Management responsibilities for the equity portion of Trimark Global Balanced Fund
