LCBO "declares" the recession to be over
It will cost you a painless $9,495.00 to acquire a boxed set of nine fine 2005 vintage Bordeaux wines from Ontario’s LCBO. To ensure that you feel exclusive, only 10 sets are available.
Although this is just 2009, wine expert Robert Parker has already stated that 2005 is “the vintage of the century”. Unfortunately, LCBO marketers left out some key info: did Mr. Parker mean the finest vintage of the 21st century “so far”, or the finest vintage he believes we’ll see of the “entire” 21st century? This could have an impact on prices in 2040, and should be considered before you dive into this particular offering.
The undoubted good news is that the LCBO thinks there are 10 people out there who have the resources to buy a bunch of odd lots. With Bay Street’s record financing pace, these would make nice closing gifts for the issuers who raised more than $1 billion each.
Sure beats a lucite.
