Put one down in the win column for Richard Scott
As some of you may know, we’ve been the lead corporate sponsor of Canadian golfer Richard Scott since he turned pro in 2007. Richard won the Canadian Amateur trophy multiple times, and as a university student at the University of Georgia, won the NCAA team championship.
When he turned pro, we were pleased to join in supporting Canadian golf in general, and Richard in particular. He’s played the past three years on the Canadian Tour, and will be racking it up there again this Spring.
In the meantime, he’s enjoying warmer climes in the Southeast part of the United States…while he troops around on the Tar Heel Tour.
Earlier today, Richard won The Championship at St. James Plantation in Southport, N.C. by one stroke with an 8 under 280.
A great kickstart to his 2010 season, and only his fourth Tar Heel tournament so far this year. We are proud of his accomplishment, although probably not as proud as the folks down Windsor-way.
