Sunnybrook delivers its own
If you happen to be in baby delivery mode, at least in the Toronto-area, you’re in luck. I can report that the new Sunnybrook Women & Babies facilities are spectacular. After decades of delivering newborns at Women’s College Hospital, just north of Bay & College Street, the entire facility has moved north. Try as the staff might to make your stay top drawer, there’s only so much that can be done in a wing built when Sir Robert Borden was Prime Minister.
Although you’ll be too busy to notice, there are a couple Wellington Financial-related spaces at the new M-wing on Sunnybrook’s campus. Hope they’re to your liking. Sunnybrook’s Women & Babies program has been one of the beneficiaries of our past three charity golf tournaments, and we did a special canvass in 2006 on its behalf as well. The new facility has also received the generous support of Aubrey and Marla Dan, and the Admitting area recognizes the contribution provided by the Bitove Family Foundation.
This is a big week for us on the charity front, between the new Sunnybrook facility and the annual Canadian Art Foundation’s annual Art Hop fundraiser. We’re one of the main corporate sponsors, which has been led by BMO Harris Private Banking client services for many years. If you have a hole on your wall, and most of us do, there’s plenty of Canadian art to be found at the silent and active auctions coming this Thursday. 52 different Canadian artists in fact. You can have a look here.
